"Garrison, Ellen, Kim and Supporting Staff: I wanted to thank all of you for all the hard work, support, and professional service you have provided. You guys are truly the "Dream Team." I think we've accomplished all the goals (and then some!) that I set out to accomplish. This proceeding would not have been as smooth or concluded as successful without the competent and professional service that your law firm renders." --Tom G.
"I appreciate everything you have done for me during the case. Everyone in the entire firm was a pleasure to speak with."

San Diego Attorney Taking a Collaborative Approach to Divorce
Going through a divorce is one of the most difficult events in any person's life. It is a commitment of the Law and Mediation Offices of Garrison Klueck to help our clients through this very difficult process while seeking to minimize both the pain and the hassles.
One of the primary ways we do this is by offering them choices. Our clients are not forced to participate in costly litigation, but can choose other methods, like collaborative divorce, cooperative divorce and mediation.
We run our law practice this way because we understand that the process of divorce can sometimes make things worse for families. The best legal strategies are the ones that work for your individual family — especially when children are involved.
Collaborative Divorce
Collaborative divorce usually involves the divorcing couple and each of their specially-trained lawyers, as well as specialists who can guide them through the divorce process. In a collaborative divorce, your attorneys sign documents and agree that if the process breaks down and you end up litigating, they must withdraw from the case.
The group takes a team approach to handling the issues involved in the divorce — issues like child custody and visitation, child support, alimony and division of marital assets.
Collaborative divorce also considers the emotional health of the divorcing couple. A mental health specialist may coach you through this difficult and stressful process. A child specialist may bring the wants and desires of children to the table. And a joint financial planner helps to take into account the financial needs of each party.
Cooperative Divorce
There are several differences between cooperative and collaborative divorce. While collaborative divorces force attorneys to withdraw from the divorce if parties choose to proceed to court, cooperative divorce does not contain this requirement. Cooperative divorce also adds certain specialists, like financial planners and child psychologists, on an as-needed basis.
