Board-Certified Family Law Specialist
When it comes to preparing and presenting cases, there are few attorneys like Traci Hoppes. She is a California Certified Legal Specialist in Family Law, as granted by the California Board of Legal Specialization. This designation can only be earned by attorneys with a demonstrated high level of experience and expertise in the area of family law after also passing a rigorous examination.
Traci’s abilities have been recognized by her peers. She was named a Top Attorney in family law by the San Diego Daily Transcript in 2013, an award given only to 10 family law attorneys in San Diego each year. She is a past president of the Foothills Bar Association and also serves as the chairperson of their family law section where she organizes monthly continuing education events for local family law attorneys.
Traci is a formidable courtroom attorney, but also pursues resolutions for her family law clients outside of court whenever appropriate. She completed mediation training with the Family Resolution Institute, and also became a member of the Collaborative Family Law Group of San Diego after completing training in collaborative law.
Traci has been practicing family law since 1992 when she graduated cum laude from USD School of Law. She was recognized for numerous awards while in law school, including a Distinguished Service Award as editor of the law school newspaper. Her first love was legal research and writing and she continues to specialize in preparing her cases for court. She has a penchant for achievement, providing insightful legal research on behalf of her clients.
Traci has four children and understands the challenges of balancing a career with raising a family. She understands that when clients come to us, they are going through their own challenges in adjusting to new and difficult situations. They are entrusting us with their children, their finances, and their most personal issues. Traci listens carefully and works to ensure that each client is treated as a person with unique needs and unique circumstances, tailoring the legal strategy in each case to meet the needs and requests of each client to the fullest extent of the law.
